What is the Annual General Meeting?
The Annual General Meeting is one of our most important meetings. Key decisions are taken by the membership about the direction in which they want their local to move. Things like budgets, Executive Board elections, picking our delegates for the District Labour Council and other conventions, and tons of other stuff all get decided there.
All executive positions are are up for election at the AGM, as well as many other positions within the union. If you are a member of CUPE 4600 you can run for one of these positions. We'll be sending you a separate email shortly with all the details you'll need to run for election.
Where and when is it taking place?
This year the AGM is taking place online. Keep an eye on your inbox, we'll be sending you the login information.
The meeting is happening on the evening of Wednesday, April 7th. It will start at 6pm, and will wrap up around 8pm.
Who can attend?
All members of CUPE 4600 are encouraged to attend the AGM. You'll get to make an impact on the functioning of the union, elect your Executive Board, participate in discussion about motions (as well as vote on them), and meet other members of the union. It is an important meeting for our union, and we hope to see you there.
