Bylaws

Our Bylaws set out the rules for how our Local democratically elects our representatives, and how it is run. The Bylaws are reviewed on an annual basis at the Constitution Committee and any proposed changes come before the Membership for approval.

CUPE 4600’s Unit 1 represents over 2000 Teaching Assistants, Service Assistants, and unionized Research Assistants at Carleton University.

Request for Support

Any group or organization seeking support from CUPE 4600, be that a financial contribution, endorsement, or other support, should use this form.

Please note that CUPE 4600:

a) makes donations to groups or organizations, and does not typically make donations to individuals;

b) prioritizes support for local and regional campaigns and events;

c) typically donates between $100 and $500, depending on the nature of the request;

d) is more easily able respond to requests for support when they are as specific as possible.

CUPE 4600 will respond to requests as quickly as possible. Depending on the request, particularly those involving financial support, a decision may not be possible until the next scheduled General Membership Meeting.
