Carleton Expo

Come by and say hello to our volunteers tabling at the Carleton Expo. While you are there check out the other booths to learn about other Carleton based groups and organizations.

 

Grad Fair

Taking place outside in the terrace area between the University Centre and the Canal building. Check out the booths and tables of organizations relevant to grad students.

Get your singing shoes on and impress your new friends with a sweet sweet rendition of Living On A Prayer. This event is co-hosted by the Graduate Students Association.

 

Pancake Breakfast

Walking Tour: ‘’Protest, Strike, and Rebellion In The History of Canada's Capital’’

Wednesday, September 12th, 1-4pm, Meet at ‘’Maman’’ (the giant spider sculpture in front of the National Art Gallery, 380 Sussex).

This walking tour takes participants to key locations in Ottawa’s radical history. From the ‘’On-to-Ottawa’’ trek, to the first Canadian LGBT protest, to the Abortion Caravan and Red Power, this stroll is chock full of interesting and cool stuff. Don’t miss it.

Are you a new CUPE 4600 member? Our Unit 1 (Teaching Assistants) Vice Presidents will be giving a short presentation to new members to orient them to their union. Come learn about your benefits, highlights of the collective agreement, and what CUPE 4600 has in store for this year. 

Please note: This session is aimed at Teaching Assistants. Contract Instructors who are looking for a similar session are invited to come to the Unit 2 (Contract Instructors) caucus meeting, on Friday September 14th, 10am, in Richcraft 3112
